MIAMI

New Money

The design district got developed during the 2000s as a hub for art galleries and furniture stores along designer brands in state-of-the-art buildings; then the area got flooded with urban art and some museums creating the most luxurious and innovative shopping district in the city — and today you can experience the “new rich” area of the city without spending top much money.

This tour would take you through the streets of the Design District a completely gentrified neighborhood where fashion designers/brands have their flagship stores in state-of-the-art buildings and where millionaires are opening museums to display their private collections. The area is characterized by: contemporary architecture, hidden sculptures, and luxurious businesses. The tour suggests going on an artsy walk around the art district, brunch and the Nader sculpture collection during the morning; the ICA museum plus street-wear and art shopping in the afternoon; and to end the day, the Dior cafe plus dinner at another roof top.
